Privacy policy

1. What we collect

Account data. When you create an account, we store your email address and display name. We do not collect passwords — authentication uses secure magic links sent to your email.

Usage data. Your collection, pull history, and investment records are stored to provide the service. This data is yours and can be exported at any time.

Analytics. GachaDex does not currently run any analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party scripts. If we add privacy-respecting analytics later, we will update this policy and say so here before turning it on.

2. How we use your data

  • Provide the GachaDex tracking service (collection, pulls, spending)
  • Send transactional emails (magic links, receipts)
  • Improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns
  • We never sell your data to third parties
  • We never share individual spending data with game publishers

3. Local storage during Early Access

During Early Access, data is stored locally in your browser's localStorage. This means:

  • Your data never leaves your device until you create an account
  • Clearing browser data will delete your tracked information
  • Data is not synced across devices without an account
  • You can export your data as JSON at any time from the Import & Export page

4. Data security

When accounts are available, your data is stored in encrypted PostgreSQL databases hosted on DigitalOcean's managed infrastructure. All connections use SSL/TLS encryption. We use industry-standard security practices.

5. Your rights

  • Export. Download all your data as JSON or CSV at any time
  • Delete. Request complete account deletion from Settings
  • Portability. We support standard formats (UIGF, SRGF) for data portability
  • Privacy controls. Choose what appears on your public profile

6. Cookies

We use minimal cookies: a theme preference and an authentication session cookie when signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
